Bona is a Brazilian Director of Photography and photographer based in São Paulo. Across eleven years his work has stayed deliberately wide ranging from advertising, music video, documentary and editorial, moving from people to products without losing his visual signature.
Shooting motion and stills makes him a natural fit for hybrid productions, where a single visual authorship has to hold film and photography together.
In 2017 he directed and shot Stand Your Ground, a documentary series for Globosat. He has directed and photographed music videos for Yago Oproprio, Rô Rosa and Lucas Bernoldi, and lensed campaigns for brands including Corona, Cerveza Patagonia, Nomad, Guaraná Antarctica, Hoegaarden, Goose Island, L'Occitane and O Boticário.
For most of those eleven years he also stood on the other side of the table, as co-founder and creative director of Asa Onze, a São Paulo production company he led until 2026. He knows what an image costs to build and where a schedule tends to break. This experience gives him a broader view of the challenges and opportunities that each project presents.
Alongside commissioned work, Bona sustains a personal photographic practice somewhere between documentary, street and portraiture: a habit of looking that feeds everything else he does.
